Well, he kept the license plate with her name on it in the glove box, and at the end, he put it in the rear window of his pickup, OR maybe he was about to throw it out, and get one that said Pam on it. We'll never know for sure.

Deep down he still loved Sissy, but let his pride get in the way. He didn't have the heart to toss the plate, kind of thinking maybe they'd end up back together.
