Uncle Bob

The true unsung hero of the movie. As for the rest...

Bud: jealous wife-beater

Sissy: skanky white trash

Pam: rich white trash

Wes: evil criminal

Jessie, Sissy's friend: white trash with bad teeth

Yes, uncle Bob was my favorite character in the movie..I don't see why they had to kill him off,it made no sense..but they should have made a sequel..

Ironically, the soundtrack had a sequel. It was called Urban Cowboy II. They had more hit country tunes from the movie on it.

Yes, uncle Bob gave him(Bud)good advice?

It was such a shame that Uncle Bob was killed off. He was my favorite character too and so was his wife Corine. They were both genuine characters who seemed hard working and as nice as they come.

I really liked Sissy despite her flaws.

Pam would be my next favorite. Even though she acted like a spoiled rich brat. She sure was beautiful!

Bud and Wes are tied. They were both idiot *beep* jerks who treated people like crap and needed their asses kicked.

The OP mentioned Jessie... I thought she seemed like a nice enough person. Yeah she did have bad teeth but I thought that it was kind of nice they included her in the movie. The same goes for that big cowgirl you see in the beginning of the movie (and at the diner). Kind of like, look here's how people who goes to these honky tonks really are! Average people, not movie stars.

I'm glad someone picked up on Jessie's dental issues, I watched this for the first time in years (Netflix) and felt like writing up a pretreatment estimate.
