Was There A Cartoon Version?

i always thought there was a cartoon version of this, was there? or was i thinking of something else
please help me :-)

No, there was never a cartoon (animation) version of this film, but there was a comic book, and that's probably what you're thinking of. It was released by Marvel Comics at the same time the movie came out in 1981. It was a pretty faithful adaptation, although the film was still far better.

Really? Cool! :) Was the comic the continuing adventures or an adaptation of the movie?

The comic was a straight adaptation of the movie. It was pretty faithful to the original source, but like I said, the movie is far better.
