I saw this on HBO for the first time and enjoyed it, but missed the beginning. What exactly was the cruel prank they played on Kenny? During the reveal in the end he looked at his hands and started screaming. Was her burned? Thanks for your help.

Basically, Jamie Lee Curtis character and her girlfriend and the jocks were at a party. Kenny clearly liked Jamie Lee Curtis character and it was all part of a prank. JLC pretended to like him, and both of them went into a house with a bedroom. She was waiting for him in the bedroom, calling for his name, but she was actually hidden somewhere else. In the bed was a dummy/corpse of an old woman, and Kenny went to her ready for the romance, when he sees the body in the bed and gets scared. All of them are laughing at him, except for JLC who seems to feel bad. The bed has all sheets over it, like a king-size bed - one of those beds with curtains over the top basically. He's screaming and going crazy, and gets wrapped up in the sheets and can't breathe and such and is hanging, but he doesn't die...just gets sent to the hospital.
I am watching the movie right now. When I saw the first scene, it looked like a real body to me, with some extra "dummy" limbs thrown in for good measure. I just listened to the "Doc Manley" character explain to the kids on the train what he did to Kenny. I believe Doc said he was a medical school student at the time. He stole a "fresh" corpse of a woman from the morgue. He commented that she was "in pieces", which meant that they had already begun dissecting her, or that her death involved some sort of dismemberment. He then put the body with fake limbs in the bed. The poor guy Kenny climbed into the bed thinking that Jamie Lee was calling for him. Instead he finds a dead, limbless woman. To make things even more horrible, the kids from the frat were in the room hilariously laughing at him. Kenny, who was not too emotionally stable to begin with, lost it completely. Really, who could blame him? If it had just been a dummy in the bed, I don't think he would have taken his revenge so far.
