what did doc put in the drink he gave those 'dorks'???

in the scene with Elena, doc, mitchy, and moe

when it is announced doc paid for Elena's ticket he held up some bottle and said "guess what i gave to those dorks? and elena replies with "you a$$hole can't have a good time without hurting someone"

what was that bottle? at first i thought water but that wouldn't hurt anyone???

I had wondered that for a while, then my friend, upon seeing the film for the first time, turned to me and said "LSD, of course", when I asked him what he thought it was. His answer seems about right for a terminal Schmuck like Doc. If anyone agrees or has another theory, please comment.
