More blood can usually make up for lousy writing.

Lousy writing certainly wasn't the case with Terror Train. From the first time I saw this film at the cinema upon its release to this very day, I was enveloped in the story & it has scared the hell out of me. The premise was ingenius: A moving train where no one is able to escape & everyone is in costume & unaware a killer is aboard. The killer disposing of each of his victims while in various masks, donning their costumes & disposing of them one by one was downright chilling. Who would ever suspect a friend in costume? I cannot for the life of me understand how this movie has gotten a bad rap by critics. But then, fortunately I never take any notice of them anyway.

The concept was brilliant as well as the casting. Jamie Lee was the perfect choice to play Alana as she was top scream queen of the genre. No remake necessary. It's impossible to improve upon perfection. I rest my case.
