Derek MacKinnon(Kenny) interview

Hi,

I just completed an interview with Derek MacKinnon, who played Kenny the killer in Terror Train. He reveals a lot of stuff people may not know about the film. Here's the link: http://jeffcramer.blogspot.com/2010/11/very-candid-conversation-with-d erek.html

Nice job on a lengthy, informative interview! I was always stumped on how Mo met his demise by the hands of Kenny. I've rewatched that scene many times and could never come up with a satisfactory scenario. Thanks to DM's play by play, I now have something to keep on eye on next time.

He seems like an absolute twat. He made it seem like he was the stra of the 80's, when in reality if you ask most people if they know who Derek MacKinnon is they would never have heard of him. What an arrogant, self-centered *beep* It sounds like he thinks the film was his... Oh look at me, I was the first openly gay character on tv! Jamie Lee Curtis was jealous of me! I played 11 characters! I didn't want to be typecast!" Well, maybe he should've been typecast 'cause look what else he did afterwards... Eugh, I can't stand him after reading this. Good interview though :)

Go ahead if you have the guts.

Good questions, but he was clearly making most of that up. It's a shame, really.

I read an interview with director Roger Spottiswoode on terrortrap and they asked him about the subplot where Ben Johnson is romantically involved with the magician's assitant, he had no idea what they were talking about...

TT: There’s a rumor that a subplot was filmed involving Ben Johnson’s character Carne romancing the magician’s assistant. You know, with Carne not knowing that "she" was a "he." (Or that "he" was a psychotic killer, for that matter.) Do you recall anything like that?

RS: (Laughs.) No. I don’t think that was ever written or filmed.

Derek is so honest and humble in this interview! Jamie had always been jelly over derek. Derek has had a great career and cant wait for the collaboration with robert. Of course derek will have to teach robert a thing or two.i did hear derek will be starring in the new saw movie. He will be the new jigsaw! Cant wait.
He will also be replacing will smith in the new men in black.
