Finally saw this film
I remember when this movie was advertised on TV years ago as a kid. I finally got a chance to see it, I’m not a Christopher Reeves fan, although I did admire the late actor as a person. Regarding Jane, Dr. Quinn was one of my fave 90’s shows. The period setting was really cool, although I felt the theatre people were pretty rude to Richard when he inquired about Elise. Has anyone ever been to Mackinac Island, it looks like a fun place to visit. Chicago is my hometown, it was fun to recall how it use to look 30 years ago. I was surprised the Elise did not take her maid as a chaperone with she went on that outing with Richard. That was the policy back then for young unmarried ladies. It was also fun seeing Christopher Plummer out of the Capt. Van Trapp mode. Wow that love scene is so tame compared to the raunchy stuff now. I like scenes where we use our imagination. I was surprised that the actress chose love over touring with the theatre company. I bet her agent and mentor had a crap attack.
