what a movie :)

I accidently discovered this movie when looking for a good time travel movie. I am 38 yearsd old and i will have to admit it took me a few days to watch it (have kids and a life lol) but i plan to watch it again. I even downloaded the Soundtrack. The music is haunting. I have a few questions though.

the goes to and says

So coupled with the scene of when Reeves is approached by an Older Elise (Susan French) who places a pocket watch in his hand and pleads, "Come back to me." and when Reeves finds a book in in the house keeps room based on time travel something tells me she some how realises he was a time traveller!!!! How? was this in the book? did he return in time? what hyposis made her decide in 1912 that time travel was the answer?

this movie reminded me of a few things:

1. Life on Mars After being involved in a car accident in 2006, DCI Sam Tyler (Simm) wakes up to find himself in 1973, the era of 'Sweeney' type policing, Mark III Cortinas, and flared trousers.
2. Titanic At the end where he is meeting Elise in heaven.

This is one movie that made my DVD shelf and not many do. I just wish it had a more explanation ending.

I haven't seen this movie in a few months, and don't ask me why, but I'm too afraid to read the novel, but I'll have a go at your questions.

My guess is when Elise saw him disappear back to the future, that's truly when she knew. Remembering about his playwright he told her he wrote, she waited her whole life for that play to open in Chicago, to give him the watch as proof.

I'm sure in the book there's a better explanation, but that's what I took from it. Through out the years she probably sought out an expert on this issue, possibly reading and meeting the man who wrote that book--the same book CR finds in '79.

I could be making all this up, so I guess it's time to watch the movie again. I never really need too much of an excuse to put it on.

The story is so incredibly haunting, which in turn, haunts the person who watched it for the rest of their life. Will you look at a penny the same way again?

Well SIT was made in 1980, so if anything those other films should remind you of this one. :)
