Where is George Wendt in this movie???

He's listed in the credits as "Student" (from the 1972 party scene), but cannot find him at all! I think he may be the guy standing in the back of Christopher Reeve with the curly hair, glasses, beard and wearing a red shirt underneath a sweater. Can anyone help me?

Odds are his scene was cut. You usually don't get onscreen credit unless you have lines, but contracts require that if you do film scenes, your credit has to stay even if you're not in the final cut.

Ok, here it is: 1:56 into the film you can see George. It shows A woman in a black shirt kissing Richard on the cheek as she hands him something. He has glasses and short curly hair and a greyish beard. His face is between the woman's right shoulder and a man laughing. Shelly blocks him for a second but you can still see him a little as she goes to Richard. And of course Bill Macy a little sooner to the left. :)

Wait! Wait! Where are you going? I was gonna make Espresso!

That's not George. Doesn't even remotely look like him. He was already in movies back then and if you compare that with what he looks like in Bronco Billy from the same year, you'll realize this is just some random white guy.

I think it is him, with a beard. I will have to see Bronco Billy tho. Never saw it. But I've seen Cheers a million times and I swear that is him!

He's probably just an extra in the crowd scene at the beginning. Another interesting bit is that William H Macy has one of the first lines in the movie. He's in the crowd congratulating Richard on his play. His voice is very recognizable but at the time he was a nobody and it's a super small role. I don't even think we really see his face, just the back of his head.

Unless Alpert's covered in bacon grease, I don't think Hugo can track anything.

You can see Macy's face as Elise makes her way through the line of people. He's on the right.
