Kubrick is a sloppy filmmaker

I love The Shining, but there are so many continuities errors and Kubrick lovers keep saying it is intentional, etc. True he would shoot a scene over and over, but I believe that he was only concerned about the actor's performance and not set continuity. The biggest example is when Jack is breaking into the bathroom. The door changes after the "Here's Johnny" line. This is a clear and obvious mistake that Kubrick should have easily noticed. Unless somebody can give an explanation why it was done on purpose?

Just finished watching this after quite awhile. I wondered about the scene immediately after Jack struck Dick in the chest with the axe. Jack strikes Dick once, then hears Danny, pursues Danny, dies doing so. So . .. . who cut off Dick's arm or arms?

And where is the arm? It's cut off but nowhere in sight.

Also I found it odd that Wendy was running UP the stairs calling for Danny after she helped him sneak outside through the bedroom window and telling him to go hide. I suppose one could argue that it was understood when she told him to hide that she intended that he come back inside the house to do so . . . . . but why would she imagine he ran upstairs to hide?
