I think it's funny...
That most of the people playing themselves are listed here as "himself" or "herself" but the members of the band aren't.

Yeah the band members are playing "characters", not so much caricatures of themselves, but elements within themselves that might not be entirely factual. In the movie Mick Jones is a bit of a bastard and old Simonim gets in trouble with the law and old Strummer was a totally cool guy who would give anyone a chance but they're playing characters that might not entirely be accurate representations of their true personalities.
Remember this ain't a documentary. Just because they're playing themselves, doesn't mean they're playing themselves. Does anyone else get that, or is it just me?
