Why are they using that awful cover art for the new blu-ray?

The one with JLC standing with the roses and the bloody axe is much better.

Because that is the original theatrical movie poster artwork.It also shows the killer right on the artwork.The one you are talking about is misleading.It makes you think Jamie Lee Curtis is the killer.

It's the much better poster artwork, the original 1981 VHS release & Anchor Bay cover art. Classic!
