New live action Popeye movie coming

The Altman Popeye is fairly amazing. Casting is amazing. It looks wonderful - Sweethaven is a remarkable creation. I even like the songs and I have to count this as one of about three musicals that I like. It seems to fall apart a bit at the end and the action that should provide a payoff in a Popeye story feels rather limp... I am also a bit put off by the distinctly Mediterranean look of the sea (As it was filmed in Malta) whereas I've always assumed that Popeye's home port was more New Englandy... See how hard it is to find anything to complain about?
What are we likely to get that will improve on that?
