People who dislike this film owe me an apology

Heh...just kidding. This was one of my favorite films as a kid, and Popeye has always been my favorite cartoon character. Sure, the film has lost a bit of luster now that I watch it as an adult, but I still feel like it is a solid movie and deserving of a better rating around here.

The "so-and-so owes me an apology" running gag is still hilarious to this day.

I agree. It may not be Bergman, but it's still a nice piece of good natured, unpretentious entertainment. You just have to take it for what it is.

I'd like to offer my sincere and humfelt apologies. Dear, get my hat, I think it's time we were leaving...

But seriously, what a great subject line you came up, great job and thanks for the chuckle.

Me too, and my experience with this film is unusual because I'm actually a kid of the mid to late 90's/early 2000's, and when I was 6 or 7, my parents bought the Paramount Family Favorites VHS of it, and when I first watched it with them, I instantly loved it and still do now. The parts that make me laugh the most are when Olive's dad says, "You owe me an apology.", the fight in the restaurant, the "I'm Mean" song, and when Poopdeck Pappy rants about kids.
