Gerry's missing dialogue? (Spoilers)

At the end, just before Gerry climbs down into the crypt, he looks down and then says something as he looks up at the others who just look at each other.
You can clearly see his mouth moving but there is no dialogue. I switched over to the Italian track on the bluray but that is also silent. No subtitles either. It looks like he is explaining what he sees down there when he looks.
Just wondered what he's saying and why the dialogue is missing? Not watched the extras yet so maybe the answer is in there.

That's something I always wondered about, too. I never heard anyone else mention that missing dialog. I can only guess that since these Italian films were shot as silent movies that maybe Carlo De Mejo did some ad lib and when it came time to record the dialog in the studio that part wasn't in the script.

I watched that scene today. You'd probably need a lip reader to figure what he said, but I expect it is something like "there are stairs". There's actually another scene about a minute later where the same thing happens. After they climb down and then find the engraved name of Father Thomas on the wall, you again see his lips move and that he is saying something, but there is nothing audible on either the English or Italian audio.
