New York City locations...

The late Lucio Fulci seems to have liked to film some of his movies in New York City, USA as the backdrop to his movies. Not just this movie but Zombie, House by the Cemetery, New York Ripper, Manhattan Baby, Murderrock, among others. I used to live in New York and I enjoy watching some of the random locations Fulci chose to shoot the locations scenes. Example: the exterior scene of Madame Theresa's apartment is located at a brownstone apartment house on the corner of West End Avenue and West 76th Street, Manhattan, and the cemetary location is Calvary Cemetery in Woodside, Queens, New York. Nothing that special about the locations, but nice to see them in random movies that I like.

The character Peter Bell was located at 333 West End Avenue in New York. He was stood there near Madame Theresa's apartment.

That location where Peter Bell (Christopher George) got out of his car to walk across the street to Theresa's apartment building was actually on West 76th Street in Manhattan right at the corner of West End Avenue.

Note that Peter and the policeman never walked into the building itself which ment that Fulci did not have shooting permits for the area and that since the brownstone house (which does house several apartments) is a private residence, meant that neither the cast or crew had access to the building or any of the surrounding buildings in New York itself.
