j-thers-2:"I haven't got to see the movie yet and my friend has "banned it from his house" and have also returned it. I had brought the movie, but did never pack it up because I didn’t have time to see it. He said there was no suspense, almost no zombies and it was slow moving, so I decided to (also because he already had the movie) return it to the store. Was that a good thing? Do you even agree with my friend.

No, that was a very stupid thing to do, because the film has tons of zombies in it and it's extremely violent. It also has very good Lovecraftian story at it's center, told with a rather slow deliberate pace.
It has amazing music by composer Vince Temperra, conducted and played by Fabio Frizzi. Everyone always makes the mistake of thinking Frizzi made all the music for many of Fulci's films, but he didn't do much composing back then, Temperra did and Frizzi usually only conducted and played the mellotron at the time. At least according to himself in interviews.
It has Giovanni Lombardo Radice, Catriona McColl and one of its scenes was copied in KILL BILL 2.
It also has two of the most infamous violent scenes in gore cinema:
-A scene with a large drill being drilled completely through a head in full close-up.
-A person puking up their entrails, also in full close-up and several camera angles.
Gino De Rossi (not to be confused with Gianetto De Rossi (no relation) also of Fulci fame) did the effects. He recently did the effects in Italy for Casino Royal.
The very end is somewhat of a letdown, but only the last three or four seconds. (It's a still frame with a ripple effect) The ending ended up that way because negative to the ending they shot got damaged and they couldn't afford to go back to the United States and re-shoot it.
This is after all a severely low budgeted film, but it looks like it was made for about two or three times the amount they had. Well, except for the botched ending of course.
You made a big mistake, but since your friend has it and it's banned from his house you should tell him in no fewer words that you're royally pissed at him and his deceit and that if he doesn't give you his copy of CITY OF THE LIVING DEAD you'll tell his parents about his bestiality.

Like one of the other posters mentioned it's quite obvious your friend enjoys sex with animals. Does he have a dog or any other pet? If so, it's your duty to rescue it.
Go over to his place demand his copy of the film and save his pet!
