Are you kidding? The dog acts out the crooks and almost the FEmale lead, but the dog would be nothing without Chevy's cool funny voice.

BTW: where can I find what this movie was renamed in other countries, for instance, Sweden?

Actually, I can think of many other films where the dog outacts the male lead: "K9," "Marley and Me" (several dogs, but still ...) and "Beethoven" for starters. But as the other poster said, they work well together and this film wouldn't be the same without Chevy Chase's voice.
