A Baldwin...
I just saw this last night on one of the Starz channels and I SWORE that the bodyguard was played by Vincent D'Onofrio. I was wrong... did anyone else think the same thing???

I saw the movie last night and was shocked that it was Adam Baldwin. I too had always thought that it was D'Onofrio.

For a long time, I thought D'onofrio played the "Animal Mother" character in Full Metal Jacket. I was shocked when I saw that he had actually played Private Pyle. I guess 30 extra pounds and a shaved head make anyone unrecognizable. Both were great roles, though. I still use the line: "Better you than me."
shareAs a fan of both, I can assure you that it is Adam Baldwin in My Bodyguard, and Vincent D'Onofrio in Full Metal Jacket. Both movies are just wonderful, no matter how many times they're viewed.

I'm a fan of both of them. I think are both masterful at playing characters that are far deeper than they appear, and in some way flawed.
Adam Baldwin's character in Firefly is like some amalgam of the Animal Mother and Rick from this flick. And it's a joy to see him now in Firefly / Serenity.
I'm also a huge fan of Vincent's, and have been seeing more of his stuff lately too. Just watched FMJ and really appreciated his performance. That it's unavailable in wide screen is sinful in the extreme.

Baldwin was in Full Metal Jacket too. That's what the previous poster was saying. He or she thought that D'Onofrio played Baldwin's part (Animal Mother) rather than Private Pyle (D'Onofrio's actual part).
