Goof thread (Since there's no Goofs page for this movie)

I noticed that when Pickering's (the vampire hunter's) assistants carry his corpse out on a stretcher, the stake is still sticking in his chest and out through his back and through the stretcher as well. But when they put him in the hearse, the stake doesn't seem to interfere and you can see that only as much as before is still sticking out of the corpse's chest. Shouldn't it - at the least - have been pushed partly out of the chest due to the hearse's floor pressing on the tip? Or are stakes retractable?

Anyone with other contributions?

Watch the film again and listen carefully -- you can hear a crack as the stake breaks when they load the stretcher into the van. It's one of the film's jokes. :-)

I have one. In the third story, if those creatures were afraid of the cross the director showed them, why weren't they afraid of the tombstones that were in the shape of crosses?

reply

Why don't you make a "Goofs" page for the film then?
Easily done you know.

And so, God came forth and proclaimed widescreen is the best.

That's what I was going to say ... if there's no Goofs page, then you should make one rather than putting them here. :-) To get started, just click on the grayed-out goofs link and follow the instructions.

You are so right. Soon this page will go away, sadly. ☺

They've know got a goofs page with two items. A film crew member can be see in a car mirror at some point. And some explicable distraction for Vincent Price 'wonderfully evil' speech. For some reason he's concerned about something in the corner of his eye which has got nothing to do with the film.
