Yes- but any idea if the band(Night)ever made a record?
shareYes, they had a hit in the early 80's with "Hot Summer Night"
shareDo you know the name of the singer?
shareHer name is "Stevie Lang" and was a backing singer for among others Graham Bonnet and Elton John.
shareThanks Man

in the uk, that singer sang the jingle for a brand of panty liners (!) called bodyform.
the advert played for 10 years - so even though nobody knows who she is, almost everyone will recognise the screeching wail of 'ooooh bodyform! bodyform for you!'
as for the stripper song - i think it's great - she has a bit of janis joplin about her voice.
As a former stripper, I was ESPECIALLY amused by both the song and the strip tease; talk about "taking it all off!"
Woman is the Earth and Man is the Sky.
You might like to know that all the groovy music from the film is specially re-recorded as stand-alone tracks on the Pathfinder Pictures DVD release of the film, if you can find one.
I ordered it a few years ago off the net and was told it was a US R1 disc, but it doesn't actually say what region it is anywhere and it plays fine on my standard R2 DVD player. I don't actually think it's region encoded at all, though it certainly appears to be a US release judging by the lousy commentary.
It's much better than the recent UK re-release though, because it contains all sorts of great extras- including the funky tunes- whereas the newer release contains next to nowt.
It was a very good song and the singer had a great voice. It made me want to get up and dance and it was the only song in the movie that did that.
I've been waiting for you, Ben.
Everyone... great bones ☺
