Lots of stars and no talent UK Miss Marple better

As I watched this US version of The Mirror Crack'd I thought only the US directors could put on actresses that are really over acting but so close to their own personality and life. Elizabeth Taylor as Mrs Rudd in on several drugs. I am not sure if Rudd is the right character name. When people call her or her husband is sound like Gray or Gregg but things posted about this movie call them Rudd. Taylor is swearing up a storm because she hates Lola/ Kim Novak , "Son of a Bit_h" and "Bit_h Kim Novak on the other hand use "sh_t" etc. These stars walk around like they are God's gift to the world. Over acting looking for attention. UK Miss Marples costumes are better and not so revealing. Kim Novak look like she is popping out on top. Rock Hudson rude and mouthy. They all overdo their part. Angela Lansbury was to young to play Miss Marple.In one scene Lola/Kim Novak flirts with a cop and her boobs are showing, closing in the cop, all the while the camera is showing her top. All this crap takes away from the story. I love the Agatha Christie movies, I think she would be turning over in her grave seeing her stories portrayed in such a shotty, slutty way. I have nothing good to say about this movie.It is rude and crude with its swearing and all of the above.

This was an EMI Films production which is a British company. It was filmed in the UK. It was produced by the same guys who did "Murder on the Orient Express" and "Death on the Nile." Yes, this film has American stars, but so did the other two movies.

ditto.. the acting is childest.. way over the top.. the greatest of actors can't be great all the time.. but guy hamilton letting this happen.. could he be responsible.. or had little say ...?? who knows.. but a number of people are still alive.. someone should ask them.. what the h_ll was going on.. well, this was before Joan Hickson.. so nothing to compare it with.. now we know better... Late 70's & 80's tv was a time many actors would prefer to forget.

The film version dos appear to be a rather campy melodrama and the later BBC version with Joan Hickson is better.

Its that man again!!
