Missing Song from Soundtrack--Help me out here!
Everyone notes the regrettable omission of "Jack of Diamonds" from the celebrated soundtrack, but this is driving me crazy...another omission I've discovered.
Remember when poor Mr. McCorkindale dies in the slop of his pig sty, and then they cut to the scene of his funeral where Jesse's mother is interviewed by the reporter? A man is singing a beautiful calming hymn-like song there that I would guess is traditional. I don't believe it's listed on the soundtrack, and I can't find it anywhere in my searches.
It's driving me crazy enough to go out and rob a train. Someone please help me out here w/ a title and/or some lyrics! Among what he sings is "No more stormy clouds arising." I think there may be more than one title b/c my searches have turned up inconsistent results. Movie has played on Encore Western lately, so I can't see their listing.
Thanks,
Zeteticz
SPOILER
P.S. How 'bout Cooder's brilliant re-arrangement of the "I'm A Good 'Ol Rebel!" melody slowed down to maybe less than half tempo when the Northfield robbery has failed and they're all escaping shot up and defeated and half-dead in slow-motion!
