Archie Peyton Samuel / Jesse and Franks half brother

Archie Peyton Samuel murdered by the Pinkertons in the movie was described as being age 15. But in real life he was only 9 years old when murdered. Is there a reason why Hollywood couldnt get his age right?

Perhaps because you seem to have mixed up making a movie with making a documentary?
Was that the right answer?

No that wasnt the correct answer, you half-wit. Try explaining what was such a big deal to not give the factual age in the movie. There was zero reason for it.

This clown has a problem. He/she is a stalker. An internet stalker/ A message board stalker. And he/she has some nerve concerning themselves with what type of person I may be.

I often wondered that myself. It made no sense to change it. I see why they had the Cole Sam knife fight, which never occurred. That was adding to excitement etc etc. But why change semi retarded Archie's age?

Well......I can think of a reason. Given the age of the mother in the film. She was not actually that old. Maybe they made Archie older so he'd fit better for the actress' child bearing years. She was too old to realistically have a 9 year old. How is that?

Good point.

The Pinkerton's were in a tough situation dealing with the James/Younger gang. They made some very bad mistakes and paid with their lives. The scene where the 15 year old is accidently killed is sad although you don't know that the boy was killed until the next scene. I'm amazed that the Pinkerton's would boldly walk the streets at night not thinking that the James/Younger gang would be after them.
