My parents loved Neil Diamond and this movie when it came out. I watched it on Encore the other night and all I can say about this film is what a crock of dog doo doo. This script was made for some made for made for network TV movie. Good God what used to pass for legitimate film. to sum this movie up in two words... Velveeta cheese. UGH how painful...

It was more maligned back in the day than it is now. 5.2 on imdb is way higher than I would have thought.
