at the end of the movie where Diamond is belting out the tune, "Coming To America" should've had a bigger and louder fan reaction. The audience just sits quietly and listens and then cheer and applause at the end of the song - that's not what a rock concert is like! Rock concert fans usually stand, clap, whistle and scream during a whole performance.
The more I study it, the greater the puzzle becomes.

That was probably the 85th time they had to listen to the song for the filming. Lol-- I was at a filming for a concert for tv once to intro a new song and they played it so much I hated the song at the end of the night!
shareCome on, even in the 80's Neil Diamond was not a "rock" singer and even now, his would not be a rock concert. Yeesh! Even my 16yr old son knows what a rock concert is and this was not that. And just to clarify, he is a classic rock fan, doowop, Elvis, Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, Joe Walsh(with and without the Eagles) and is just an old soul. Thank God for kids who will not forget what musicians and music actually is.
