Well nightmare city is a exploitation film and planet terror is a zombie homage exploitation film anyway PT reminds me of nightmare city with the whole contaminated people instead of undead zombies also the over the top violence and nudity and in both the zombies can run and walk also I think in both they use weapons so what do you think PT a bit of a homage to this movie?

Marley Shelton (Doc Block) actually mentioned this movie as being a close influence on Planet Terror, on the official site in Grindhouse 101 section.

Yeh it is similar to that, the cruddy faced zombies that contaminate humans. Tarantino loved "Nightmare City".

Although I have missed Grindhouse in its original theater run (damn theater wouldn't play it!), I Can understand how you think "Planet Terror" reminds you of Nightmare City.
