I voted a "7"....and anyone who likes this movie should get on board and vote too! No way is it as bad as the IMDB rating would have one think!

I have seen this movie a dozen times, from when I was a little kid to now and proudly own the DVD. It has some good scares (especially the first!) !

I'd 3.7 is almost too good for this movie.

I agree. I like this movie; it has a few good scenes, and ALTHOUGH it's clearly a Halloween rip-off, it has a nice atmosphere going for it (Staten Island and all), and I thought it was fairly entertaining. I'd assumed the average rating here would be around a 5, but 3.7 seems a tad low for this. I enjoyed it.

I think it's the lack of gore that really hurts it, but I agree that 4.0 is way too low. The production values were good and it had some decent scares, not to mention a good cast.

I gave it an 8. I could care less about gore. This one has a decent plot, some very good acting and quite a few scares. What more can u ask for in a horror movie?

It should be higher. It's still an overall enjoyable 80's slasher, and still better than most slasher films today.

I keep coming across threads like this.

Why was early/old school IMDB such a shitshow. So many great slasher films with 2's, 3's and 4's. It's ridiculous they were rated so poorly.

The early users must have been proper snobby cunts.
