Probably knew about the reopening. She seemed to know the guy who was running things. He recognized her anyway right before she killed him.

shareAnnie was the cook, they'd never said anything about another. My guess is just that she and the director knew each other from back when, and she stayed in the area. This explains how A) She knew about the reopening, and B) He recognized her and didn't seem terribly surprised by her appearance
