Laura Dern 12?..................

You know what both of you? I didn't see this movie but I saw the movie "Smooth Talk" with Dern and Treat Williams and I was thinking the same EXACT thing that you two were thinking in THAT movie! Dern was playing a teenager in that movie also and I trust me like the two of you I caught on pretty quick that she sure looked like a woman close to 18-20 rather than the 15 year she was supposed to be playing.

She seems to play roles where she is actually a little girl but puts it out there like she's older and more mature and experienced.

Laura always fooled people with her height. She was 2 years younger than Diane Lane when they did Ladies & Gentlemen The Fabulous Stains (right after Foxes) directed by the legendary Lou Adler (Rocky Horror producer, etc.) and she had to become an emancipated minor in order to do the film (Stains). Check out the disc commentary on the recently released Fabulous Stains DVD to hear Diane Lane and Laura Dern do one of the most interesting "early 80's experience making a movie" for (at the time) 2 teenagers you'll ever witness.
