Why is this rated R? Is it like the movie Thirteen? The parental advisory part of IMDB has not been added. If you no specifics on why it's rated R, considered adding to it. It really helps when making decisions on if the movie is appropriate for certain age groups.
shareIt might be rated R because an immature,insecure girl in her middle teens has an affair with a sleazy man in his middle twenties. The main story is about the strength the girls draw from their friendship, but this subplot can make viewers uneasy.
