Yeah I know it sucks! and I quite agree with you.
I was a teenager when this movie came out so---well now I am older! But I have noticed that the young today treat older movies like cast offs (movies older than 5 YEARS!!)
They tend to scoff at them and refuse to watch them. I think they are terrified that their going to lose that great ole social acceptance that is so important in teen groups even today. It makes me sad and disgusted at this behavior!
Me? I always been a odd ball! I LOVE old movies--even the silent ones---why not watch them? What do you have to lose? and you may even learn something!
It currently has a 6.1 as I type this, but I agree that it should be higher. I love this movie!
