Ever sense there was chemistry between Baio and Foster?

Playing with each other twice in 1980, let alone their roles in Bugsy Malone, did you sense there was more chemistry between them around those different timelines?

There were rumors about something between the two of them around this time.
Did they play opposite each other twice in 1980? I thought the only times were Foxes and Bugsy Malone but I could be wrong.

Well...since Jodie Foster is a lesbian I kind of doubt it. I DO remember once reading that Jodie's mom didn't like Cherie Currie because she felt she was a bad influence. I can see Jodie and Cherie having something going on more than I can see Jodie and Scott...

because they did date. Scott Baio admitted it. The most Jodie would admit is that she made out with him though. lol. But yeah Jodie dated guys before.

And Scott dated guys before, too! People have kind of forgotten now, but back in the Happy Days era, he was pretty well known around Hollywood for swinging both ways.

What? He was a little kid in the Happy Days era. I never heard about him going both ways. All I ever heard was that he is a serial dater of Playboy-type blondes.

Funny thing, though, I remember at some point, Erin Moran (Joanie) came out in an interview or somewhere saying Baio was horny for her and wouldn't leave her alone. Not that that proves anything.

Geez guys... it doesn't matter what your sexual orientation is in order to make a good on screen couple. Foster and Baio DID have a great sense of chemistry, very natural. What IS interesting is how different their careers went. Can you imagine Scott Baio shining two Oscars while Jodie Foster was on VH1 doing "Jodie Foster is 40... and Single"????

The funny thing is Scott Baio was the original choice for Maverick in Top Gun, but he turned down the script. Can you imagine how different his career would have been had he accepted that part? No more Charles In Charge and goodbye TV career. Hello, movie career. Very different scenario right there.

Maybe I was just imagining, but I truly sensed sort of a bond between Jodie Foster and Cherie Curie. Check out the way they'd look at each other and their body language. I know they're actors and there was a director present, but there did nevertheless seem to be a kind of natural fondness between them.
