16 year old bride!?
Madge marries Jay?! WTH? What parents let their 16 year old daughter marry a man old enough to be her father? Who are these people? Am I the only one who thought that was jacked up?
shareI made the assumption that there was a time lapse between Annie's death and the final scene. I may be wrong, but it didn't look like a really fresh grave that Jeannie put flowers on, so I assume Madge and Jay worked through their issues and eventually married... possibly when she turned 18.

Same assumption here, ruthierocks. Jeannie also made comments to her mother about being on her way to college. So it WAS a little later on the wedding took place. (Still very young though, especially for that particular group of girls. All of them needed some real independence, IMO.)
