ok, I'm coming out of the closet....
No, I'm not gay.
I'm a fan of James Glickenhaus movies!!!!
Yes, I realize they're "bad", but there is something immensely fun, entertaining and 1980s about them.
Haven't seen Exterminator in over 20 years - will see it now on DVD.
Love "The Protector"! One of Jackie's best. Non-stop action, violence and gratuitous nudity. Tremendous.
Soldier has to be seen to be believed. Same with McBain. Shakedown is actually a solid thriller with good acting and a literate noirish script.
Glick slipped in his later years - Slaughter of the Innocents was crap, and the less said about that kiddie film he made with his stepson, the better.
Glickenhaus perfected the slow motion gunshot death with geysers of blood shooting out. Call it Sam Peckinpah meets 1970s grindhouse cinema.
If you love B movies, bad movies, 80s movies, action movies like I do, you probably already know about this guy.
Shame he seems to have vanished from the scene.
