Old movie from my childhood
I saw this movie years and years ago when I was young. I don't remember much about it. I should watch it again.

I remember watching this as a kid- I loved it. I remember I cried - alot :) I would love to get a copy of it to see if my memoriy is as good as I think it is :)
shareI remember this movie used to be shown all the time on HBO (or possibly Showtime?) around 80-81 when I was in 5th grade. It was a very sad and depressing story, like a kid's worst nightmare come to life. I cried a lot watching it since it was so upsetting; it definitely made a big impression on me.
Funny thing is I never have seen it since so its been well over 25 years but I still have so many vivid memories of it. I'll have to try to see it again soon.
I am in the same boat. It was a looong time ago but I'll never forget it. It left a huge impact on me for some reason, it's probably just like you said "a kid's worst nightmare". I can still see it in my head after all these years.
Very good movie, I used to watch it all of the time on HBO. If Hollywood is running out of movies to be remade, perhaps they should look at this film for a good story.
