I think this tramatized poor Johanna Brushay

This being her first and only acting role in a movie, I bet that she was tramatized. I mean we barely know her character all we know is that she was kidnapped, knocked out, stripped down, chained up and then set on fire. For any woman I bet they be tramatized. That is low and degrating that scene infact the whole damn movie is. I mean if being set on fire wasn't enough she was stripped butt naked as well. She probally was embarrassed for taking role in such a cruel movie. Horror movie are cruel but in a good way. Halloween, Friday The 13th 3, A Nightmare On Elm Street, Sleepaway Camp etc. But this movie is cruel to the point that it is just sickining and not in a good way. That being an acting role for an actress starting out had to of struck her. The whole fire thing didn't help along with her body being exposed for the world to see. Since that time she hasn't took place in any other acting job or even comment on her thoughts about this movie.

I seriously doubt it traumatized her because it was only a movie dude, she wasn't really burned! You need to chill out. It is a horror, the object of the movie is to horrify the viewer and the first burning scene of the woman did just that. I thought it was an alright movie, apart from that first murder I thought it was quite tame compared to some of the gory slashers of the past 30 years.

Yeah it is just a horror film, but I am sorry that was a little to much don't you think. She was stripped but naked and then burned! Adding those two elements together seem a little degrating, I'm sure you understand. I am no female but honestly it just looked degrating to me. Yeah its crazy but man its to damn disturbing and usually in horror I do not mind disturbing.

It's a film. The actress is getting paid. I would do something that looks degrading on film for money

It's the same reason that people do reality shows.

tastiebernie. people like youe are a danger to themselves and others around them. You clearly are completely out of touch with REALITY!

I couldnt help to think the same thing when i was watching. i grabbed the dvd cover and looked at the back of it expecting an 'unrated' logo but to my suprise it's an r. i'm just suprised the censors let the scene go uncut since its so incredibly graphic and horryfing. it's probably why the actual burning was not shown with any of the victims. but still, a superb horror film.

A danger within myself? Touch with reality, I said that this was a disturbing SCENE. I never said it was real, I just think that the scene is really disturbing, and I extremely express that, nothing more. So if you are going to insult me find a better way buddy.

I agree it's a really disturbing scene and wonder how she felt afterward about being "famous" for a particularly nasty movie death. But for what it's worth, I doubt her on-set experience was as bad as you think. Just standing like that with her arms hoisted directly above must have been very uncomfortable. But if you look closely, it's obvious that the "fire" was superimposed on the image. It was a photographic trick. Unlike the priest, the factory guy, and the girl at the disco, who presumably had stunt doubles--you actually see those characters (or their doubles) running around with flames on them. JB was painted char-black, screamed, and had fire superimposed on her body in the editing room. It's a very alarming scene so you buy the illusion that she's actually on fire. On the dvd extras the interviewed main actor doesn't elaborate on how they did it, but does say "It was a good trick" or something like that.

Actually, in the DVD commentary they say she was actually very cold and they had to do the scene quickly.

As far as her not being in any other movies, if you check the other actors in this, like 99% of them haven't done any other stuff except this movie. In the commentary he said that she wasn't actually an actress, she was a dancer, but they hired her for that role anyway.
