Is the American DVD cut? (Grindhouse Psychos Box Set version)

I have this DVD version (http://images.blockbuster.com/is/amg/dvd/cov150/drt700/t729/t72970tt0zp.jpg) which came in the Grindhouse Psychos box set with Tenement: Game of Survival and Cop Killers. Does anyone know if this version is cut? The reason I ask is because it only shows one of the girls' murders. The second two murders are never shown: he just is shown talking to the women and later on he has two more charred bodies in that room on the rocking chairs.

Sick disturbing and awesome movie by the way. Kind of like Maniac in plot and themes, though NOWHERE near as good as Maniac which was a masterpiece IMHO.

Not that it proves anything, but I just rented the old VHS, and it's much the same. Showing roughly the exact same scene of a naked woman being immolated is a tad unnecessary, as how he met each victim was the only real difference. Not that I'd ever complain about a graphic immolation scene, but three in a row would've slowed the pace down to the level of blood-porn.

I should rent Maniac soon, but I've never seen another movie that makes you despise the killer one second and instantly identify with him the next the way this one does. Freaks you the hell out if you watch it while too tired.

This is a far better film than MANIAC. I like both, but MANIAC is almost too sick, not in the killings, but in the general tome of the film.

I saw this at a theatre when it came out. It's not cut at all. They show only the first murder. The second one you see AFTER she's been burnt. Personally I think seeing it once was more than enough

I agree. We more than got the idea with the first one. No gore, but still one of the most brutal murders I've ever seen in a movie. I grew up watching horror movies, but I'm glad I didn't see this one when I was a young kid.

I can't imagine how this would affect a young kid. I saw it when I was in college and I STILL can't forget that scene even though I saw it 30 YEARS ago! I don't mind gore and violence in horror films but that sequence went too far.
