SOLVED___Is it this film? woman answers her door, is set on fire

im looking for the title of a film.
the very first scene is of the mother and her child probably
under 5,in the kitchen, there is a knock at the front door which
is in the kitchen.
The mum answers it and its a man and he
sets her on fire and she burns to death as her daughter/son
backs away frightened under the table

thats all i remember

i saw this when i was at a friends place in maybe 95
the vid store had put this in the wrong case and they watched
it anyway.

I can't really say anything else about it except I really don't think it was a new release at the time.
