Scene at the Recording Studio

Does anyone know if the scene when Loretta said " my husband gets to acting horny, and the more I laugh, the hornier he gets" if that really happened? i read the book, and i don't recall Loretta saying that that happened.

In her second book, I believe Loretta says that the balogna scene actually did happened. If I remember right, she said something like 'the scene about the balogna wasn't the only stuid thing I've said over the years like that' or something. Anyone with the book want to correct me if I'm wrong?

This scene didn't take place in a recording studio...it happened at a radio station that Loretta and Doo stopped at on their promotion tour - just before they went to the Grand Ole Opry. The station manager came out and told her that he'd never play another of her records, and the DJ who had interviewed her then told them about their number 14 ranking in Cashbox magazine.

I would think that's not the kinda stuff you can make up. I bet it's a true story. Just like the salty chocolate pie has to be real.
