DVD vs. Blu-ray

I bought the Imperial DVD-Edition a few month ago.
How does the Blu-ray look?
I'd like to know if the picture quality is actually worth getting this.

Thanks.

Hi e-mlodik.
Thanks for the fast reply.
So, is there a better Edition than the Imperial?
Was the extra deleted footage released yet?
Thanks again.

Your help is highly appreciated.
Please forgive my not so good english, as it's not my native language.
I saw Caligula the first time back in 1982. Since then i am a little obsessed with this masterpiece and collect every version i can get.
It`s a shame, what Guccione did to the film.
So thanks again for the informations.
Now i will try to get the U.K. special Edition.

One last question.
What do you think about this version?

Ok, i think this version is blurred. But is it worth a look?

E-mlodik_deux:
You seem to be really knowledgeable about this movie, and I'd appreciate your help. I own the US Imperial edition, and wonder if I should buy UK imperial edition too (I presume you're talking about this one, right?

What does the UK extra footage you mentioned above have? Could you give more detail on those extra "interesting and important scenes with most of the audio intact"? Are these sex/nudity scenes etc? Or just interesting re: how they show ancient Roman life and characters? Thank you very much!

Does 'what"? You don't need to reply though, as I got an opinion about you based on your hysterical reply elsewhere. Thanks anyway.

Yeah the UK release also contains an additional half hour of footage. Also Caligula will be released in the UK on Blu Ray in May this year. Who knows....maybe even more footage will be on it!
