Just watched the FULL version

I bought this on ebay, it was advertised as the cut version that Australia allows in. It turned out to be the FULL 150 minute version.

My prognosis:

Whoah

Just Whoah

and

F#k you Bob Guccione for ruining a perfectly fine film!

HOW SEXY AM I NOW F#KER!

Change of heart indeed.

I still stand by my principles that it is sick and disgusting though. But still good.

The WORLD is sick and disgusting.

Did you watch the video of the American being decapitated in Iraq?

I had NO IDEA it was so hard to pry a head off of a spinal cord.

THAT was disturbing.

And THAT is what humans have been doing to one another since the beginning of time.

It is disgusting, but it's TRUE.

I think the "porn" scenes kind of ruined the movie. I mean the disturbing scenes should have been there, but all those sexscenes that served no puropuse, people sucking eachother all over the place, could have been skipped, or atleast kept in the background.

I agree; the porn scenes do bring down the quality of this one. I imagine director Tinto Brass' original vision is much better. What was with that 5 minute lesbian scene, featuring two characters that had nothing whatever to do with the plot. It brings the film to a dead stop. It is a shame, really, because "Caligula" could have been a masterpiece.

That scenario actually sounds alot "hotter," and certainly more imaginative than Guccione's porn vision, which IMO makes for a somewhat ugly and un-erotic scene. I like the films of Tinto Brass, especially "Senso 45," and i think the guy has a very unique style that looks beautiful on screen. Anyway I recently ordered a copy of 'The Imperial Version,' 3 disc set that includes a pre-release version. Is that scene that you mentioned in that version of the film?
