Who invented the BJ??

I googled and all I found is this:

Arthur Blow (1023-1079) was an army leader in the Battle Of Hastings. The troops' morale was often low so he devised a cunning method of keeping spirits up by instructing his wife to orally service them as they waited in line. The troops, being grateful for such stress relief, referred to her daily doings as a Blow Job in honour of their leader.

Don't know if it's true though,

That's like asking who invented eating out, fingering, hand job, kissing, reverse cow girl, 69....

reply

A better question would be who came up with the term. I'm sure oral sex has existed for long before the English language came around.

reply

maybe he patented hahaha

reply

Yeah, no kidding. There's paintings in Pompeii and ancient Hindu sculptures depicting the act, so it certainly pre-dates the term.

I think the quote the original poster cited was a bad joke from Wikipedia.

It's just always been around. The Roman word 'fellatio' actually described the person whom the act was being performed on--as they were seen as taking the active role, rather than the person recieving the penis. So if you were being given a blow job you were performing fellatio. Penetration was everything to the Romans.

Interestingly the term 'blow job' is actually a skewed pronounciation of 'below job'.

The more you know!

I didn't invent it but I perfected it.

reply

Sounds like you enjoyed doing it.

reply

Hmm, that sounds apocryphal, for if so, why do Germans call it "blasen", which means to blow.

"I'm sure oral sex has existed for long before the English language came around. "

Indeed, people have been "coming around" for a very long time. I think there's an X-rated Far Side cartoon panel featuring cavemen in here somewhere. Maybe Gary Larson can come out of retirement just this once.

your mom

reply

dunno but the BJ scene during the orgy is HOT

reply

Like almost all etymological stories, that one sounds totally made up. Cocksucking has been going on since primates started walking upright, probably even longer.

I'd say it was Eve when she lived in the garden of Eden

reply

Betty Rubble.

This is the oldest depiction I know of. This kind of red-on-black pottery is an ancient Greek style that was popular around 2500 years ago, there are probably older examples out there, and of course the actual practice would be far older than the artistic depictions of it.

NSFW, bitches!
