Why are they speaking English in this?

I thought people in 33 AD were supposed to speak Roman or something. English hadn't even been invented yet!

reply

You're an idiot. Hahaha..."speak Roman".

So you want all the actors to learn Latin and Greek as well as memorizing their lines in both languages, you ass? Then we'd have to read subtitles.

Would you want this level of authenticity for all movies now, where we'd all have to read subtitles, you retard?

reply

Your mom is the retard.

reply

He's right tho, you're a dumb tard. Go to hell for being so naive and stupid

reply

Your mom is a dumb tard.

reply

you're stupid as hell, you old ass grandpa....and that goes for your fat pig of a dead mother too.

reply

Well I would come back and say your mom's even stupider than hell for not aborting your ugly dumb ass, but she probably kept you around to help de-louse her vagina hairs on the weekends so maybe she's not as dumb as she looks.

I can't believe you are asking this question.

Watch Apocalyptica if you are looking for period realistic language.

"Tonight's celebation is a travesty. We're honoring murderers."

reply

Kind of like the Bible has everyone speaking "Thee" or "Thou"!!!

No one in that area of the world spoke the King's English.

For an idea of what was spoken back then in that area of the world, just watch your news from that area currently.

reply

They did it for Passion of the Christ. But this was a revolutionary thing in modern film to use dead languages.

reply

They used Latin in the 1976 film Sebastiane too

reply

Why are all the men circumcised?

reply

Same reason the aliens appearing in sci-fi films speak English.
