Best roles ever for all concerned?
Yeah I know Murray's been nominated for two Oscars and Ted Knight won two Emmys for other work but bear with me here: has Murray ever done something that was so CONSTANTLY funny as Carl? Did Chevy Chase ever have a character that so fit his smarmy, goofy style as Ty? Dangerfield was usually a one-trick pony so I think his being part of an ensemble works to his advantage here, like Fred Willard in the Christopher Guest movies. Ted Knight gets to go slow burn in so many scenes and explode in so many others. The four of them create stand-alone comedy magic that works together in propping up a weak story that could've been just another T&A underdog offering from the 80's. Michael O'Keefe has popped up here and there but who really remembers Nate & Hayes? Cindy Morgan did TRON which appeals to a different demographic, but more people seem to remember her from here. Go on down the line of the cast and I don't think what I'm suggesting is too much of a stretch.
Men, if you're willing to fight for our people, I want you!
