DVD Hold Up

What is up with this not being on DVD? The only thing I can think of is the songs on the jukebox and copyright issues. When this was shown in 1998 on Cartoon Network all the songs Snoopy dances or cries to were changed to some instrumental junk. Is our old friend the RIAA at it again? Remember how much the DVD of WKRP was trashed? Wouldn't be surprised.

Yes, I would guess there are more than a few of us here that have been waiting years for this release. I was lucky enough to snatch the Laserdisc release several years ago, but I would much rather have a digitally remastered copy.

I don't know what the hold up is, but if they want to delay the DVD release, okay, that's fine with me, I've waited as long as I have already, what's a couple more years? But if they're GOING to be making us wait for several more years, they could at least have the common decency to get it back on TV for us to see again instead of leaving us with no choice but to shell out $40 for the tape.

junk1-6, is the Laserdisc copy you own in Widescreen?

If that's what the hold up is, then that's a shame! Don't these greedy idiots realize that having their songs on these shows is more publicity for their product? It's kind of like YouTube. First, many studios were in an uproar over people posting their content up without permission. And then they realized how much FREE publicity they could get for a product and now it's all the rage! Same goes for Facebook, MySpace and Twitter.

But I guess they want a piece of the action especially if the dvd sells well. Oh well, I have a bad copy off of the tv so that'll just have to do--for now.

But'cha Y'Are, Blanche! Y'Are In That Chair!
