Year and model of the Mercedes-Benz?

If I am correct the car driven by Julian Kaye was a late 70's
450SL convertible. Is this correct and could anyone please
add any details about the vehicle? Any information would be
appreciated about the gigolo's choice of automobile.

According to imcdb.org it is a 1980 450 SL. Useful site to answer all your auto questions for TV and movies. I use it all the time.
