How 'powerful' was Anne?

You get the sense that she was trying to come off as unassuming but deep down was on the same level (or higher) than Heidi Fleiss. Like she could have been the most powerful madame in LA. The way she toys with Julian and then cuts him out of her life is pretty harsh, but I guess from her perspective, having him flake on high profile big money clients just wasn't worth the hassle, plus she probably didn't wanna get dragged through the mud with his legal issues.

She made some referrence to not wanting Julien around when her kid was there like she was being watched or may have been on probabtion or something.
The character was too aloof when she said it --the murder-- didn't matter. Of course it did if it could have brought things about her, out in the open.

She probably wrote him off because Julian screwed her over too many times. In the opening monlogue she says that he cut her out of the repeating clients and now he was demanding 50/50. She later finds out he is working for another pimp and now messed up a deal with a huge client. If that wasn't enough he is asking for her to help him with a situation that Leon the pimp got him into.

Who needs that nonsense. I would have cut off Julian as well.

In her first scene, she offered to help Julian with his Swedish but he turned her down. I think she kind of liked him but changed her mind by the end of the film.
