While I've always thought Gere was attractive/rather sexy, this is really the only movie I found him to be unbelievably sexy. I mean....daaaaamn!
shareI could watch him drive a convertible for hours. But yes, the way he walks is the best ever in all his movies. He always looks awesome but he was really hot in "Primal Fear," many years after "American Gigolo." He just gets better with age. Panther is a good comparison. I adore him and always will.

shareI thought he had a feminine walk at least in the scene in which he went into that record store. Though I thought he Armani wardrobe was probably the best ensemble ever put to film, in the record store scene he had a blue shirt on with very tightly rolled sleeves. The jeans and the walk I felt were decidedly gay. I think the director (and Gere) was to some extent going for this to try and make the audience question his true sexual orientation. There were other scenes and dialogue to play up the possibility that Julian may be a homosexual too. But I thought his walk was pretty flamboyant in this scene.

It took me years of watching Gere's work to notice he did a good acting job in this movie. If your a male hooker your going to do gay too. So the way he walks and acts is very good acting since he doesn't act like this in any of his other movies.
